Wonderful This a book that starts out as a parable on bullying, and calling people names. Our hero starts out as such a one. As the adventure unfolds he and his friends grow and learn and mature. Excellent tale I enjoyed this book. It was a good story filled with humor, characters growing into better people. It was clean with Christian themes. I think this is a book that everyone from teenagers to senior citizens can enjoy.

The gift in all. A wonderful tale of courage and friendship. Both were needed. The lucid prose and descriptive writing had me wishing that someone had thought of making a movie of the story. Perhaps someone has and I am not aware of it.

Although the story started a bit slow it improved a lot once Roy began his quest with a couple of surprising companions. The book was well-written and edited a fine degree, which I very much appreciated. Other things I appreciated was the clean dialogue. No swearing, no sexual entanglements, not even unwarranted violence. Very clean...I'd have no problem reading this to my little grand-daughter.I enjoyed this book, which although the first of a series, was self-contained and come to a satisfying end following the quest. Well done and keep up the good work.

Easy read, deep meaning The story is one suitable for young children, and may seem simple because of this. However like all good parables it has a depth that will speak to you if you let it settle in your heart. Looking forward to the next book.

Magical! Every now and then there comes a story that exudes something magical that one can't quite put a finger on it, and Mr. Baker has managed to do so with this story. I throughly enjoyed it!The Phoenix Quest is a powerfully told coming of age story. Richly descriptive, with strong characters and interesting plotlines, this novel sucked me in quickly!I definitely recommend this clean read, and I'm running back to the Kindle store to purchase the next book, if it's available!
